So what does the course involve?
- What to take into hospital for yourself and your partner. Or, home births if that is your choice
- When to go into hospital. Or when to call the midwife if you are having your baby at home
- What happens to your body in labour and how you can help yourself
- What is meant by "Active birth"
- Assisted deliveries, induction of labour, water births and the various methods of pain relief
- How to care for yourself at this time
- Feeding your baby - Breast and formula
- Postnatal depression
- All things baby - examination of your newborn child and how to care for your baby
- Caring for each other. Hints and tips to help you cope during this rather special but demanding time for new parents.
The focus of each class will be supported by useful handouts and a further selection of information leaflets that will be of value to you. Classes can be tailored to your individual needs. Refreshments are also provided at all classes.

So when do the courses run?
Courses are held on the following Mondays, from 7pm to 9pm:
- February: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd
- March: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd
- April: 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
may.4th 11th 18th 25th
june 8th 15th. 22nd. 29th
july 6th 13th 20th 27th
All classes are held at St Marys Church Hall, Main Rd, Radcliffe on Trent. This is a new church hall and is a beautiful venue. You can veiw the new venue at www.stmarysradcliffe.org
It is also possible to book Saturday classes, which include lunchtime refreshments. These are arranged to suit demand.
So how much does this all cost?
Group classes with your birthing partner
- £130 per couple (4 sessions) special reduced rates for December /January £110 per couple
One day session
- £100per couple
Individual classes in your own home or perhaps with another couple
- £100 per couple
Top up for couples who already have a baby but just need an informational update for 2 hours in your own home
- £60 per couple
Multiples Twins Triplets or more.
- As the mother of triplets and founder member of Super Twins UK, I have lots of experience of families with multiples one to one in your own home to emphasize the particular issues with multiples
- £100 per couple
travel charges will be added at 40 pence per mile
Clients who live in and around Radcliffe on Trent travel charges are included .
